While VIVA Placitas has not yet launched services to members, we are limited to meeting with community leaders and assessing what we can do individually to help during these stressful times.

As of June 7, Sandoval County has 597 confirmed cases and 27 deaths, with eight of the confirmed cases being in Placitas..Over 18,511 people in Sandoval County have been tested.

Sandoval County has taken aggressive steps to assist senior citizens who received services through centers throughout the county:

  • Activities scheduled have been cancelled until further notice
  • Centers are open for staff only
  • Congregate meal patrons will have the option of picking up "to go" meals or in certain situations receiving home delivered meals
  • Home delivered meals will continue as usual
  • Transportation services continue for necessary appointments with the number of passengers per vehicle limited to two
  • In home services will be modified based on a CDC screening tool. You will be contacted by your case manager for a simple phone questionnaire.

Call the Health Hotline (855-600-3453) if you have flu-like symptoms and have been in contact with a confirmed case or have returned from out-of-state travel.

Call the Social Services Hotline (833-551-0518) if you have questions about closures, meal programs, child care, unemployment, emergency loans, etc.
